Parrot allows you to "Chirp" your secret crushes anonymously and engage with them naturally in your feed.
If your crush chirps you back, it's a match!
Reminiscent of the early days of Facebook, Parrot offers a feed for just the people you care about. React to moves posted by your matches and endorse their activity on campus. Opportunites to engage with your matches on Parrot surpasses that of regular dating apps with multiple channels for communication--Stories, Photo Updates, Moves nearby, in addition to in-app messaging, all allow for ways to validate interest.
Send out chirps to people you've seen or know of that you're interested in connecting with. Don't worry, it's anonymous unless it's mutual. If they chirp back, it's a match and they're now in your Flock!
There's several ways to chirp users (see right column)
Find a profile by searching their Name or Parrot Username.
You can chirp users nearby, within 100 yards (300 ft) of you
Suggested users will appear from your contacts and recently added

Parrot is the first app that allows you to match from search and detect users within feet of you. It's a social network where you can send anonymous match requests to people you actually interact with and stay in the loop with moves on campus.

With several ways to chirp users, Parrot aspires to bring true ownership of the match request–allowing you to validate interest in people you're more likely going to connect with on campus. Tinder is an app where people swipe out of boredom or for a confidence boost, instead Parrot provides a solution for both students who use and who don't use dating apps.
Because Parrot doesn't using swiping as the mechanism to find people, users aren't reduced to cards in a stack. At any point you can chirp and un-chirp a user. After matching, you can easily un-match (ghost), report or completely block users from viewing your profile. Because both parties have to send a chirp to each other and you're likely to interact with your match in real life, there's also no need for women to always make the first move.

Parrot is an alternative to dating apps – it's for the person who may be curious in validating interest from their peers in real life without having to make a dating profile or be vocal. Parrot is also for the college student who wants to know what's going on around them on campus. The concept works best on campuses in less urban environments.
