Kappa Omicron

The “Knockout” Kappa Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. came into fruition on Sunday, December 7, 1975. Seven young black males enrolled at Duke University, known as “The Seven From Heaven”, sought to bring the Light of Alpha to Duke’s campus, making it the Fraternity’s 433rd undergraduate chapter.

Since the charter date over 42 years ago, over 140 men have marched onward and upward toward the Light of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. by the way of the Kappa Omicron chapter.

The chapter members are involved in various on campus organizations such as Black Student Alliance, Black Pre-Law Association, Black Men’s Union, Students of the Caribbean Association, Duke Chapter of NAACP, DESTA, Duke Africa, National Society of Black Engineers and more. By expanding their reach on campus the brothers of Kappa Omicron truly embrace the fraternal motto: Servants of All.
